The Omakase Experience
Omakase means "I leave it to you" in Japanese — the chef designs and serves every course. At Shun, that's a 14- to 18-course Japanese tasting menu built around the day's best seasonal fish and Bali produce.
Two set menus: the 14-course Tsukiyo Set and the 18-course Yugen Set. Each moves through appetisers, sashimi and Edomae sushi to soup and dessert — with Miyazaki wagyu on the Yugen. See the full menu →
Edomae-style sushi and sashimi alongside cooked seasonal courses — chawanmushi, grilled fish, A5 wagyu and two desserts. Much of the fish is flown in from Tokyo's Toyosu Market.

As early as possible. With only 11 seats per seating, Shun books out quickly, especially in high season.
Because the omakase begins together for all guests, we strongly recommend reserving in advance rather than walking in.

Both — Shun is in the Berawa area of Canggu, minutes from Batu Bolong beach and a short drive from Seminyak.

Dietary & Pairings
Please tell us when you book. Given the set-menu format, we'll do our best to adapt the omakase for allergies and most dietary needs.
The menu is seafood-focused, so pescatarian guests are well suited. For vegetarian needs, contact us in advance so the chef can prepare.
Yes — sake, wine and cocktails are available, including pairings designed to match the courses.
